Register for Fall classes now at Delaware County Community College (DCCC) in Media, PA. The U.S. Department of State requires all au pairs need to complete 72 hours of classroom education at the college level during each program year. Host families pay up to $500, with the remainder paid by the au pair. You can register for a class by phone, by mail, or at DCCC. Au pairs take non-credit courses. You do not have to pay international tuition rates if you take non-credit courses, or need a TOEFL score to be accepted. English as a Second Language (ESL) and the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) classes start Tuesday September 11th. Any class listed in the attached file is permitted, but always consider the amount of hours each class provides and the cost of the class to determine if it will fit into your $500. budget.
